My name is Hein Kuipers (1971) and I am a qualified counselor and therapist, working and living in Maastricht. I provide face-to-face counseling in a client-focused manner.
My aim is to assist people who are experiencing problems or difficulties in their lives and to enable them to achieve an improved balance.

I work with people with a range of counseling needs, specific issues such as stress, burnout, anxiety or depression, and with general issues that people come across in their daily lives relating to relationships, health, work or self-image.

I am experienced in supporting and inspiring individuals and groups in a multitude of professional settings. I am very passionate about my work, especially when it comes to working with groups.
My main approach is from humanistic psychology. Both existential counseling and gestalt therapy fit into this holistic approach. It is based on addressing the whole person - of mind, body and spirit. My kind of counseling focuses on self support and making choices that are more in line with who you are.

Session details:

I offer an initial consultation session to all prospective clients. It is an opportunity for us both to meet before committing to regular on-going therapy sessions. This meeting provides a chance for you to find out more about the counseling process and for me to find out about you, and to discuss what hopes and expectations you may have for the forthcoming therapy.

My regular fees are:

Initial consultation	€ 30,00 /hour (paid cash)
The fee for an ongoing session depends on your (average family-) income:
up to € 900 per month	€ 45,00 /hour
between € 900 - 1300 per month	€ 60,00 /hour
over € 1300 per month	€ 70,00 /hour

Being a certified and recognized counselor/therapist a certain percentage (up to 100%) of the costs of therapy are reimbursed by health insurance companies.
